			<abstract>Writing on the changed nameDr. Mortaza KokabiAbstractPurpose: the purpose of the present text is to study whether or not the new substitute for &quot;library and information science&quot; that is, &quot;knowledge and information science&quot; is an appropriate name.Methodology: the methodology employed in the present text is the reviewing of some texts including the ones related to changing of the field name and in general it is an interpretation of the texts studied. The methodology is of qualitative research. Findings: findings illustrated that the new name that is, &quot;knowledge and information science&quot; is not an appropriate name based on the arguments presented and a new substitute name is necessary.Conclusion: after some arguments on the inappropriateness of the new name, as well as the specifications of the substitute name, &quot;information science&quot; has been suggested to substitute the new name provided the responsibilities imposed by the substitute name is also performed.</abstract>

			<abstract>Purpose: This article analyzes and critiques the position and application of cognitive approaches in information science. It also introduces new horizons of cognitive research in information science. Method: this research is descriptive and based on review-analytical type. For review and analyses of topic have been used scientific resources.Findings: cognitive approach has been effective on research flow and resolve problems of information science. Compared with others areas, Information retrieval widely has influenced by cognitive approach. Despite advantages and effective results of classical cognitive approach have in information research, but were met with criticisms. These criticisms resulted in emergence of social-cognitive approach in information science. In this approach, context and social conditions of user is important in interaction with information system. Conclusion: information science needs integrated theoretical frameworks in order to be able used together social and also cognitive approach elements to resolve their research problems. Cognitive approach can be used for study of concepts and multiple processes that are crucial in information dissemination, distribution and transmission. It is also important that the use of cognitive approach spread to others areas of information science and expand the scope of multidimensional studies.Keywords: cognitive science, information science, social-cognitive approach, context, information retrieval, information seeking, knowledge organization.</abstract>

			<abstract>Aim: The aim of this study is to provide the personal knowledge management paradigm for information science specialists and knowledge of public library of Kerman.Methodology: The present study is qualitative and has been conducted using Grounded Theory Technique. The population of the study includes all experts of Knowledge and Information Science at public libraries in the Kerman province. To sample the data, the snowball sampling technique was used. The instrument of the study involves in-depth interviews and the process of interviewing continued till the data reached the level of theoretical saturation. The data obtained from the interviews were codded and analyzed. Findings: The findings suggest that analyzing the code obtained from interviews with Ali, phenomena, terms and conditions, strategies and consequences of public librarians Kerman personal knowledge and relationship between axis and sub-categories resulting extract this resulted in the discovery that the main issue was the personal knowledge managementResults: The success of the librarians for managing their personal knowledge is reliant on outsourcing the available knowledge on their mind. Therefore, knowledge sharing as an activity for circulating and transferring knowledge from one person to a group and organization is a fundamental factor in achieving the purposes and bridging the organizational gap. So public libraries have a duty to promote a culture of knowledge sharing personal, implementation of reward and encouragement, building confidence and knowledge of information between experts in this regard, be diligent at work.</abstract>

			<abstract>A survey on the compatibility rate of Cataloguing in Publication (CIP) catalog cards of National Library and Archive of the Islamic Republic of Iran with Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules  Purpose: The purpose of the present research is to survey the compatibility rate of Cataloguing in Publication (CIP) catalog cards of National Library and Archive of the Islamic Republic of Iran (NLAI) with Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules (AACR2). Methodology: research is a survey of content analysis type and two researcher-made questionnaires have been employed to gather data. Data analysis has been performed using descriptive statistics such as frequency and percentage. Results: data analysis indicated that the average compatibility rate of the descriptive part of CIP catalog cards with AACR2 was 87.12% without consulting the related books and 77.91% with consulting the books. Conclusion: NLAI thus can be considered as to some extent successful in implementing CIP objectives, and the quality of its catalog cards can be described as desirable. 			<abstract>Purpose: This study attempted to compare the Persian and English abstracts in MA theses and to provide a model for determining the accuracy of the abstract translations in MA theses in Knowledge and Information Science (KIS).Methodology: The sample included 127 abstracts of MA theses in KIS from four Iranian state universities (University of Tehran, Shahid Chamran University, Ferdowsi University, and University of Qom).The scoring model adopted is based on Bacha (2001), emerging from Jacobs et al. (1981) ESL Composition Profile, which consists of five categories: Content, organization, language use, vocabulary, and mechanics. The abstracts compiled were scored in line with the scale above, showing a high inter-rater reliability (%90.7).  Findings: The analyses reported scores in the following order for content (%65/23), organization (% 28/15), language use (%10/14), mechanics (%92/3), and vocabulary (%8/13). The total grade of the abstracts investigated in this study is (%70/75).Results: The findings indicate that translation of the English abstracts of MA theses in KIS is at the intermediate level. The content of the abstracts are acceptable; however, other aspects of the abstracts need due consideration.</abstract>

			<abstract>Objective: surveying the ability level of Public Libraries Foundation staff in Isfahan in using Web 2.0 application.Methodology: This research is descriptive- survey method. A questionnaire developed by the researcher was used to collect data. To test the variables was used one sample, T-test, Scheffe, and analysis of variance Statistics.Results: The results showed that the ability of librarians and administrators is less than average to using exchange or share information tools, manage and organize information, dissemination and retrieval of information, and Web 2.0 reference application, and the highest ability per field is to use in order social networks, directories, search engines, and the Ask a Librarian. As well as between female and mail staff is not deference in ability. Between staff with Librarianship education and etc is deference in ability. The ability of staff with more than 20 years of Work Experience is less than staff with work experience less than 5 years, between 5-15 years. The ability of city officials is more than Chief and librarians.Originality/ value: with changing user expectations, public libraries staff, has a great role in meeting the needs of their actual and potential users and with use of Web 2.0 can have been a very important role in development and promotion library services to consumers.</abstract>

			<abstract>Purpose: The aim of this research is to determine the job satisfaction of the librarians of National Library and Archive Organization of Iran.Methodology: The research method is analytical survey and the data is gathered through a questionnaire. It is analyzed by SPSS. The statistical population includes 194 librarians of National Library who are working in different departments of the library. The questionnaire is based on 6 dimensions of Minnesota job satisfaction questionnaire through 27 variables.Findings: According to research findings, the job satisfaction variables showed resources and welfare facilities, the behavior of senior managers, management policies is lower than the average. But self-fulfillment, job stability and the nature of the librarianship has an average rate, and the social aspect of work organization and interrelationships are higher than the average.Conclusion: The results showed that there are not a significant difference between job satisfaction and the field of study. Also the rate of satisfaction of those with more experience in work is very low, but those who have higher education are more satisfied. On the whole dissatisfaction of the librarians of National Library of Iran is expressed in most job dimensions. So, management should consider the job condition improvement for the librarians and makes new decisions in this respect. Key words: National Library and Archive of IR.
