SPSS 23 software was used to analyze descriptive data and LISREL software was used to analyze inferential data. <br /><strong>Findings:</strong> The results show that there is a significant relationship between intellectual capital and innovation that the coefficient of intellectual capital on innovation is equal to (1.691). There is also a significant relationship between knowledge management and intellectual capital that the path coefficient between the variables of knowledge management and intellectual capital is equal to (0.433). The results of the structural equation model show that the model proposed by researchers has a good fit and there is a positive and significant relationship between intellectual capital and innovation with the mediating role of knowledge management in Iranian public libraries. <br /><strong>Conclusion:</strong> Public libraries can ensure the survival and effectiveness of their performance by paying more attention to their intellectual and knowledge capital; i.e., identifying, improving and strengthening intellectual capital and its dimensions as one of the important capabilities of public libraries in creating and storing.
