Relationship between Social Capital with Intellectual Capital and Knowledge Management in Iran Insurance

Abstract

Aim: The present research studies the effect of social capital with intellectual capital and Knowledge management in Iran insurance company.
Methodology: The descriptive-correlational research method is a type of survey that considered a time-consuming cross-sectional study. The statistical population of this research is all the staff (140 people) of Iran insurance company in Kermanshah province. The statistical sample of the study was 80 people using Morgan table. For collecting data, Bontis, Cho and Richardson’s standard questionnaire, Quinn 's knowledge management standard questionnaire, and Kheirkhah’s social capital questionnaire were used. The reliability of the test tool was obtained by Cronbach's alpha method, respectively social capital (0.73), intellectual capital (0.81) and knowledge management (0.79). To analyze the data, LISREL software and SPSS were used.
Findings: Analysis of the test results of structural equations confirms the main hypotheses of the research; That is, in general, there is a positive and significant relationship between social capital and intellectual capital and knowledge management. Also, the analysis of multiple linear regression results showed that the research hypotheses are confirmed. In other words, there is a positive and significant relationship between the dimensions of social capital (relational dimension, cognitive dimension and structural dimension) with intellectual capital and knowledge management.
Conclusion: Based on the findings of this study, social capital can be considered as one of the capabilities of the organization and can help a lot in creating and sharing knowledge in the intellectual capital and knowledge management of the organization.
