Abstract

Purpose: To identify and explain the service components of libraries and information centers based on information society criteria and dimensions of globalization with a Delphi approach. method: applied and qualitative method with Delphi approach, a questionnaire was sent to 10 people using the results of previous researches and purpose-based sampling. The validity is content-form and its reliability is affected by the response rate after the approval of the professors in covering the objectives of the research. The analysis of information was initially in the form of content, then a structured questionnaire was conducted by experts using descriptive and inferential indicators. Findings: Identifying and explaining the service components of libraries and information centers based on 11 information society criteria, and also; 4 dimensions of globalization were done in 3 rounds of Delphi panel and 164 indicators were obtained. Conclusion, Kendall's coordination coefficient was used to determine the level of consensus among the panel members, which has improved in each round compared to the previous round, and the Delphi process was stopped after consensus on the importance of the indicators.
