تفاوت های مارک 21 و یونی مارک در چیست؟

چکیده

مقدمه: امروزه کتابخانه­ ها با توجه به تهیه منابع در انواع قالبها در موضوعات و زبان های گوناگون، باید دارای فهرست­های کامل و خدمات کتابشناختی مناسب و مورد نیاز کاربران باشند.استفاده از مارک در شبکه های کتابشناختی  کتابخانه ها را به خوبی در انجام این مسئولیت یاری می رساند.
هدف: در حال حاضر، یونی مارک و مارک 21 بیش از مارک­ های دیگر در جهان مورد استفاده قرار گرفته­ اند. هدف از این مطالعه آن است که تا با مقایسه این دو و مشخص شدن نقاط ضعف و قوت آنها، برای کتابخانه­ ها این امکان را فراهم کند که مارک مناسب با نیازهای خود را برای مبنای شبکه کتابشناختی خود انتخاب کنند.
روش: در این پژوهش، این دو مارک با استفاده از آخرین ویرایش های در دسترس یونی مارک (ویرایش 2008 با در نظر گرفتن فیلدهای روزآمد شده 2012) و مارک 21 (2015) از جنبه­ های مختلف تاریخچه، عملکرد، محتوا و ساختار کلی، روزآمدی و پشتوانه سازمانی مورد مقایسه قرار گرفته­ اند و تفاوت­ ها، قابلیت­ ها و نقاط ضعف هر یک در این مقولات مشخص شده است.
یافته ها: جمع بندی داده ها نشان داد که از تمامی جوانب یاد شده مارک 21 قابلیت­ های بیشتری نسبت به یونی مارک دارد.

چکیده [English]

Introduction: Nowadays libraries collect and gather different kinds of materials in all formats, e.g., books, periodicals, newspapers, tapes, pamphlet, CD, electronic materials, and on various subjects and in different languages, all according to the needs of their users. For this reason, they need to have access to relevant catalogues and appropriate bibliographic services suitable to their needs. One of the best solutions for this problem is using MARC format for libraries’ bibliographic network.
 Purpose: UNIMARC and MARC21 are quite well-known formats in the world, hence the aim of the present research is to compare these two formats (i.e., UNIMARC and MARC21) and to study their points of weakness and strength. The results of this comparison may help librarians for choosing the best basic format(s) for their bibliographic network.
 Method: In this research, the comparison of these two MARCs is done according to such different features as history and performance, content and structure, all via the latest version of UNIMARC (2012) and MARC 21 (2015).
 Findings: Data analysis showed that MARC 21 has more capabilities compared with UNIMARC.
